The painting experience is a curriculum designed to help participants understand the importance of traditional culture and Gunma's customs through the creation of Takasaki Darum.

Flow of Experience
- You will be asked to choose your favorite Daruma doll to use for the experience before the experience starts.
Please come to the store a little earlier than your reserved time. - When you arrive at the store, please tell the staff your name and the number of people on your reservation.
- For customers in grades 1 to 3 of elementary school, we will provide brush pens for use during the experience,
so you can feel at ease. (Additional fee of 330 yen)
- An artisan will explain the history and background of Takasaki Daruma, Daimon-ya, and the experience.
- You will read through our brochure and learn about Takasaki Daruma.
- Enjoy your visit.
- You will practice drawing a beard using practice paper.
- You will actually draw a beard on Daruma's face to complete the work.
- A craftsman will write letters of your choice on his belly and back (additional charge: from 330 yen).
- The store will send the blessing to the customer
- The customer moves to the photo booth for a commemorative photo.

Why don't you choose your favorite Daruma doll (12cm~) from the wide variety in the store and experience handprint making?

We have made a kit for customers who have difficulty in coming to Daimonya.
We've created a kit so that customers who can't make it to Daimonya can experience the Daimonya painting experience!
The kit includes an explanation of the Takasaki Daruma doll, an observation of traditional craftsman Sumikazu Nakata's painting, and an opportunity to practice drawing a beard on an actual Daruma doll.
